My company sent me here without contacting me first which is odd since they usually put me in upscale hotels. I knew it would be bad but wanted to give it a chance. My room had about 100 ladybugs all over it so I requested my company to put me in the new Holiday Inn down the street instead so they did
Always a great experience and I must say Ms Barbra on the night shift is the most pleasant and sweetest person I have ever dealt with. She is what makes motel 6 a 5 star hotel. I lost my father in car wreck and was in town for the funeral and she made us feel at home. The staff during the day did a remarkable job with service and cleaning and always asked if we needed anything. We Love Motel 6
Bright lights outside in the parking lot like a football stadium, likely to deter theft. No blinds in the room only curtains so there is about 30% light in the room all night. Central air unit. No coffee pot in room and limited supplies in room i.e. no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, no pens to fill out surveys etc. Just toilet paper and a bar of soap. The bed is very stiff and i had myself wishing i had brought my pillow from home since i just ended up sleeping with no pillow. Smoking rooms so expect to smell pot, this could be an issue for some trying to avoid this substance. We noticed it as soon as we walked into the lobby. 2 stars because you get what you pay for.
Normally, we enjoy staying with Motel 6 because they're pet friendly, they offer military discounts, and the rooms are modern and well kept. However, this last stay was sub par. The neighboring room was very loud and because of the gap in the door that joined the two rooms it was even louder. Upon arriving, the room was extremely warm and did not cool down until 3 am, and in the morning, we woke up to a cockroach in the bathroom of the room. This was not the normal stay that we have had, and there are improvements that should be made for future guests. This would not be a Motel 6 that we would visit again.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The neighbors weren't loud and housekeeping keep my room dust free. I was even provided a ride to a local pharmacy to pick up my meds from company. I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to visit the Pearl, MS area.
