Window number 5 lady was terrible ... you have to be at the window by 4:00 to do a road test.. we waited for an hour and a half! At 3:58 the lady at window number 5 got up and walked around .. came back and they called our number at 4:01. When I walked up, she said I’m sorry we stop all road test at 4:00. I said it’s 4:01??? I wanted to say if you had continued to do your job, instead of stretching your legs we would have been standing here before 4:00!! Really !!! She announced she was taking a break at 3:30..so she had really just gotten back from her “break” . I’ve never had a job where I just got to stop and take a “break”... laziness!!!! Punching a clock people that have no concern that we have rearranged .. checked out kids from school to get my son there to take a road test!!! I have been to this location over the years multiple times and there’s usually a long wait but the people there were Plesant .. no problems..and they work!!! The other people there were steadily working today .. window number 5 was a pitiful excuse !! I do not know how she keeps her job!! This happened today 5/07/17 !!!
HORRIBLE,TERRIBLE, like an out of body twilight zone experience, to say the least. I still can't believe people are being treated this way in the U.S. at the Dps. I'm a USMC veteran, former Deputy Sheriff and a 3rd party CDL Examiner from La. I train oilfield students for numerous oilfield related companies and recently had an extremely terrible experience with the Pearl Dps. I've never talked to an inmate the way I was talked to. My experience in Marine Corps boot camp was better. They were totally rude and unprofessional. The first CDL Examiner cancelled my student's road test after she read the insurance card wrong and said it was expired. When I pointed out her mistake, she made a rude comment then walked away and refused to talk to me. The other Examiner (Supervisor of the first one) had a bad attitude, TERRIBLE, demeanor and disposition, failed my student for no reason of his own and wouldn't even tell him what he didn't do. When he asked what he missed she remarked "don't you read?" really? That is not proper Examiner behavior. I was standing there listening to him test with her. He did as he was taught. She failed him because it was what she wanted to do. The state needs to clean house an remove those employees and clean up their act. People shouldn't be demoralized and talked down to when they go to the Dps. Ron Myles CDL Examiner#237.
Very slow. Not nearly enough seating or parking for the amount of people that come to this location. Had to park really far away and sit on the floor. Also no changing table in men's room very inconvenient for a father with an infant.
I will admit that my experience here is of a standard DMV, where it seems like everyone needs to get a new ID or License at the same time for various reasons. Outside of that once you talk to the staff they will work to the best of their abilities to help you. Mrs. Pilgrim even went above and beyond to return my workbag that I accidentally left to me so that I don't have to be late for work on Monday. This staff is working to their best and they will help out once you talk to them.
Needs a better system in place. Kiosk never works... Not very clean.. Tempers flare... Lines to long... We waited over 2 hours to get a simple Photo ID for my teenager. :( :( It's always a bad experience, when I go. :(
